LPG, Petrochemicals & General Trading
LPG Trading
Our international & general trading in Gases & LPG is organised and managed within our company under our Trading Division.
LPG
Liquefied Petroleum Gas is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used
as fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment, and vehicles.
Approximately two-thirds of the LPG we use is drilled in the same way as natural gas and is a by-product of natural gas processing while the rest is manufactured during fractional distillation of crude oil. Its high energy content and its ability to burn readily in the air make it an excellent fuel for heating and cooking. Additionally, it is used to fuel vehicles, as a refrigerant and petrochemical feedstock.
LPG can be traded separately as individual gases or in various ratios which are
stored and transported in pressurised or refrigerated steel vessels normally via sea & Road routes & networks.
After being extracted and refined, LPG is transported to storage terminals before
being delivered to cylinder-filling plants and intermediate storage areas.
We sell the mixture separately and ship them in special vessels. Directly or indirectly, we are able to connect with all major traders, tier-one suppliers, and refineries.
In the respective local market, LPG is available for purchase to end users in bulk via
specialised LPG road tankers, and ISO tanks, and to retail & commercial customers
via cylinders of various sizes.
Our long-term vision is to be a vertically integrated group of companies through
strategic alliances, Joint ventures, and acquisitions of storage, midstream, and
downstream assets in Pakistan and other South Asian countries.
The Middle East dominates the Pakistan & South Asian markets by a significant lead,
and Dubai has emerged as the business, trading, and financial centre of choice.
LPG can be traded on the derivatives market with forward and swap contracts.
Traditionally the main trading route in our industry has been the transport of LPG
from the Arabian Gulf to Asia as well as from the Mediterranean and The Black Sea.
The main activities of our trading unit are:
● Buying and selling of LP gases
● Transports and logistics of the physical commodity through pressurised and semi-refrigerated Liquified Petroleum Gases via sea vessels, ISO tanks, and road tankers.
● Brokering transactions in the region.
Depending on each operating country's local regulations and laws, we define our services and operations scope that goes in line with the governing rules. And while targeting to be a regional player, our company has accumulated in-depth knowledge of the local regulations of the gas industry, especially in Pakistan over the years.
